I found a 2745 in NE, and I drove it about 2 mile,s and it was all i could do to keep it from jumping whhen i was using the powershift,
it,s in decent shape and it,s an 82, or 80 , dont know which?
he did some tranny work on it and rear end too,
he want,s 8,850 for it,
I asked him if hed go down, but I guess it,s no, Is it worth it, or should i look far another cheaper one somewhere else,
Been looking for a year, and came up with nothing,
Please Help,

Have a customer that has 79 2745 that he is wanting to sell. It has just over 3000 hours and has had the red repainted. I am not sure which trans it has but I know it works. He mainly used it to plant with nothing heavy. Looks shape for a MF also converted the exahust to a cornerpost exhaust like the newer ones. He is asking $6500 but i think he might take less. I have pictures if someone wants to see them. Tractor is located by Superior, Nebraska along the KS NE border.
Thanks
Luke

I have a worked with my Grandpa's 2675, two 2745's, 2775, and a 2805 for many years now and we have not had a single problem with any of the transmitions we just love the 2 series MF's. I do think that the price is high depending on the condition.

Hi guy,
Im 46,
and i like to redo certain tractor,s that are unique in some way,
I have a "76 2670 Case in good cond, and a 51 W-6 Mc Cormick,
I can do all sort,s of thig,s with them from mowing, to disking, and redoing field,s,
I like Allis,s too, and Certain Case,s,
If I had my way,
Id have 4 Massey V8,s,and two Massey combine,s w/the V8,s in them just for good measure!

Run don't walk away from this tractor. Been there done that with a 2745 purchased new!!! The 24speed trans/power shift won't hold up.

Hi tony,
Ill take your advice, and do just that,
well how about the 1155?
Is that any different tony, with the multipowerI like that one too, But iver heard woes about the tranny in that one too,
So what do I do?
do i just get a case, or a JD of the same vintage,
and be done with it?
I mean Ive liked massey,s , but if it,s gonna come to this , then I might as well forget it,
and just keep my 2670 Case,
and use it,
Is there any good massey,s,?
or are they all spotty in different yrs?
thanks, tony,

There is men on this board who have more knowledge than I concerning the MF 1155. From what I have overheard the 1155 was a much better tractor than the 2000 series tractors.
We have owned 2- MF 1100s (1972 models) & MF 180 (1968). All of them had Multi-power. We found Multi-P to be dependable & considered it a great option. The M. power clutch packs on 2 tractors were replaced when they reached high hrs. The Perkins engines performed well for us. In my opinion hyds were the weakest link on the MF tractors we owned. The 1100's had a lot of howling coming from the hyds when they were cold. None of the tractors would hold the 3-pt up when the motor wasn't running.
