Hello!! Just bought my first tractor a massey 35 what is a good diesel oil to use on this unit?? also where can i purchase a manual Thanks for the help

If changing the oil filter - and why wouldn"t you be. then if it is a Perkins diesel and it is not fitted with a spin on filter then spend the extra and convert it to a spin on filter cartridge. As Big Dean says most of the old cartridges in the can are missing the spring to make them work properly anyway.

Yep, 15W40- Shell Rotella, Delvac, Castrol, etc. There are many brands marketed, just be sure the back label identifies that particular oil is approved for diesel engine use. In really cold weather some diesel engine mfgrs. allow the use of a lighter weight oil, but it still must be approved by diesel engine mfgrs. Your tractor owners manual will have the correct information.
