I bought a 1958 Massey Ferguson 65 in mid May. I tuned it up, set the timing and adjusted the carb. It used quite a bit of fuel at first then it quit running. With a great help from this forum and rewiring of the tractor it runs better than when I brought it home. I was even able to readjust the carb. to use less fuel. I love my tractor more with each passing day.

I brought my 1959 MF65 home in mid November. So far I have relined the brakes, put new bearings in the differential, rebuilt the pump, resealed the PTO, rebuit the spindles, replaced the front wheel bearings, replaced the front tires, and replaced all four tie rod ends. The entire body and wheels were removed for paint at my local body shop. The wheels and hood are back and I am awiting the rest. New fenders, seat were steering wheel were required as well. I am currently tearing the engine down for rebuild. Figure on replacing some broken clutch springs while I am in there.

Did I get in over my head? Yup. But the initial buy in was right and I am having the time of my life!
