I was just wondering how i should attach the overflow hose because it was solder but it does not hold. And could it be welded

I think that's likely the same overflow arrangement as on the radiator of my MH 30. When the tube came adrift and fouled the fan, I replaced it with a piece of nylon tubing from my friend's oil- extraction pump. I drilled the crumpled copper out and shoved the nylon in until the end of the tube was in the middle of the radiator neck, tied it in a couple of places, and that was it.

So far it hasn't leaked.

Solder is the official fix an shold hold if cleaned up and done well, Weldong will get it too hot and melt any solder in the area.
