My neighbor has a 1945 M-H 81 row crop, SN4043XX, that he wants to sell. He had it running in the past year or two and will get it running again before trying to sell it. The sheet metal looks OK, there is some general surface rust but nothing serious, tires are dubious looking. It has what appears to be a power lift mounted on the top rear of the main case, behind the seat. The mounting casting for the steering column is cracked and needs to be welded or replaced. The steering wheel is damaged and needs to be replaced.
He wants to know a fair market price for this machine. I collect JD's and have no idea what a reasonable price would be. Location is NC Ohio. Any ideas?
