I have been trying to find an injection pump for this tractor, 1959 massey 65 diesel, indirect injection. The one off it is not rebuildable. I found a pump in a local yard, but it has direct injection. The tag on the pump is gone. Will this pump work on the indirect injection tractor? Or can it be calibrated to work? Thanks in advance.

I have a similar problem. I need to replace an AD3-152 pump with an A3-152. I believe the timing is different and the pressure on the direct injection is higher. Had a MF135 with direct injection burnt in a fire. Purchased a Lincoln welder with a A3-152 for almost nothing for parts. Ended up not using it and bought a complete AD3-152 motor for its pump and injectors. This motor appears to be rebuilt and in better condition than the A3-152 so I would like to put it in the welder however I am short of an injector pump.

Chuck,
Thanks for that piece of info. As to not being able to rebuild it, thaey said that the housing to rotor clearance was 28 thousanths, and the spec is 12. They are a very reputable shop. I'm going to check with them on monday to see if they have any idea if they can do anything for me with the other pump. If not I did just locate 2 more 65 diesels for parts today, waiting on a call back on wether they are dirct or indirect.

The parts book shows them to be different parts
nos. whether looking at Perkins,CAV, or MF. tho
they look the same. Did you get a second opinion?
Rare that they can not be rebuilt. I do not know
if they could be recalibrated. Chuck
