Tried to start my 44 Diesel which had been sitting for about six weeks. The tractor had run perfectly the last time that I had used it. Good flow of fuel thro the filters and pump, but nothing under pressure to the injectors.
I've checked everything that I can remove from the pump, but as I don't have a manual, I'm a bit worried about dismantling the whole unit. It's a Bosch PSB pump. Any advice that you Massey experts can give me?
Thanks and regards,
Lyn Jones.

I am no MH expert, but am commenting on the PSB pump. First question: How did you stop the tractor the last time you used it? Will you get any smoke out of the engine. Get a buddie on the seat and listen to see if you can here what I used to call a "squeeking noise from the pump plunger. If you don't have some special bosch tools I would not recommend disassembly of the pump at all at least the hydraulic head portion. Do some carefull checking, last I priced a PSB exchange head for the pump look at about an $800. dollar bill. Questions?

The tractor was stopped by pulling the fuel cutoff. There is no smoke out of the engine. I'm getting no fuel at the outlets from the hydraulic head to the injector pipes.
Thanks.

That is exactly why I asked how you shut it off. Good luck. J

Don't laugh or get mad,but CHECK YOUR SHUTOFF PLUNGER to make sure it went back in completly.MY 555 does that often,IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT AN 1/8" out to mess it up and won't start.Let us know and good luck.
