Any tips for adjusting the clutch pedal? I have a lot of play when I start to press the pedal down. I took the bottom cover off, looks like a plate goes against some hex head bolt, tough to get to, do I just break the hex head bolts loose and back them out?

Thanks,
Kerry

The pedal free travel on an MF35 is adjusted by loosening the bolt that clamps the pedal to the release fork shaft and slipping the pedal on the shaft. There is also an internal pto adjustment that is made through the access hole in the bottom of the transmission bellhousing. I have a picture with instructions showing how to make those adjustment I will email it to you if you will send me an email address to send it to.

If the clutch is not slipping I would not suggest adjusting the hex nuts you described. I suggest reading a tech manual on the clutch before adjusting those nuts. It would be better to adjust the clutch linkage if possible. Otherwise you may have to split the tractor and replace the clutch.
