I went to use my massey 30B with a 34A loader the bucket went to the dump position ok but now seems to be stuck. The loader goes up and down ok but the bucket will only move about 1 1/2 inches from the dump to scoop position. All the pins seem to be free and I hear the pump loading up the engine. Could anyone tell me what I need to look for next to solve this
thank you

Though from the factory they did not have snap
couplers have any been added? Sounds like they
act if a snap coupler is popped. There were cases
of "lever freeze" if oil would go by the seals
on the valve spool with the screw on cup on the
bottom. Otherwise unhook one of the cyl pins and
see if it then moves with ea cyl unhooked from the
bucket(or in other words from ea other)
to determine if it a cyl with a malfunction or if
is both then it must be in the valve. Chuck

I checked every thing you said. I took the fittings off the bucket so I could check the cylinders and they were ok. I pushed them back up and rehooked them. After unhooking the cylinders pins nothing on the bucket still worked. I had added a snap fitting but it was on the boom. I found a loose fitting on the bottom of the joystick and when I took it off, 7 ball bearings fell out - I was really confused then so I just threw them back in and put every thing back together again. The fitting/cup was about 3 inches long and and an inch in diameter. It seemed to be the cover for the boom valve Don't know what happened but everything is back working and this little puppy is hauling off the rounds off the field. I don't know why this working but now after gettin covered in oil it all works fine
Thank you for the info and help

Tom
Since your bucket cylinders are fully extended check to make sure neither are bent.
Do the boom cylinders extend all the way?
Don't forget to check the fluid level in the reservoir.
If oil is getting by the cylinder seals I don't think you would hear the engine load up.
Are the linkages connected on the control valves.
I think the 34a has a single lever to control both valves.

you are right - the 34a is single lever and I checked every thing you said. The boom was fine and the fluid level was ok.
