Sometime,s,
i think Im drunk on tractor,s going thru all these different one,s on this site,
I was looking at a Farmall 1568, I thought it was sweet,
But when i looked back at the Massey 2745 i like, and want, then the Farmall seemed like nothing,
I found a 2745 at a dealer,
It runs sweet, alot of power too,WOWSIE!
He want,s 8,850 for it,need,s cosmetic,s,
No radio, tranny & back end was redone,
So I guess he want,s to cover his loss,s,
Man, when I get in a Massey w/ the V8 in it,
It,s like a dragster wanting to run away from you,
the sound is ADDICTIVE TO SAY THE LEAST,
It just keep,s on roaring,& bellowing for more
like an Alfa Romeo,or a Ferrari that,s pulling you out of your seat, and saying Ive got more if you want it?
Also, you wanna get big thing,s behind it to see if it will pull it, and pull it it does,
WOW!
Ive ended my looking at other make,s,
except for a fordson F,& maybe a JD styled D,
and a Case 1030,& 1070 No Cab,
My 2670 is a smooth sweet tractor,run,s like a train,but that Massey, with that 540 Perkin,s
has a mind of it,s own,& dosnt like being told what to do, or hold back!
K,C,

Seems you've posted here before Kirk with the same sort of orgasmic experiences you've had with those big old engines in those big old tractors. Here's a suggestion, if you're still in school, keep your money in a piggy bank and don't pee it away on anything just because the sound gets your blood boiling. If you're out and working, keep most of your money in a piggy bank and buy yourself a nice old cheap vintage fix-me-upper (like a Case VA, Massey 101 Junior, etc) that won't send you to the poor house. Then learn to get the same rush from that nice old 4-cylinder ticking over like it was just off the showroom floor. I guess what I'm saying is .... "a fool and his money are soon parted". No offence meant, just some words of wisdom from someone who has squandered more than his share of hard-earned dollars over the years. At the price of fuel these days, you'll soon see exactly what I mean.
