MF50 manifold substitute

A few weeks ago I asked the question "will a MF35 manifold fit an MF50? Anyone have any experience here?" I didn't get an answer so I went ahead and bought the 35 manifold and gave it a go. I'm happy to report that it fit perfectly with some minor modification. I had to cut out a small piece of heat shield that was not really needed with the new manifold and I re-engineered the muffler with a new one under the foot board. I could have easily used the old muffler and tail pipe with slight modification but decided to put it where the 35 muffler is instead of mounting it vertical.

I had a cracked exhaust manifold that was blowing hot exhaust gas past the fuel line and causing the fuel to vaporize before getting to the carb. This caused vapor lock on really hot days when the engine was under heavy load. New manifold solved the problem.
