I have a problem with the govenor on my 101 sr. If I move the throttle one or two notches from idle it will raise the rpm to about full throttle.

You'll have to remove the governor and take it apart. There is a pin there that is probably sheered, a common problem with the F226. I had two, and both were sheared.

No, it is not timed, and when you get it apart, you'll see the pin if it's sheared. Don't be hesitant to take it apart, it is probably one of the simplest governors I have ever seen.

Dave
There is nothing sheared off in the governor. But the rod that attaches to the carb. Hits the steering shaft before it engages the governor.
