Just got a 1958 MH TO35 and would like to know which side of the ENGINE does the temp. gauge conect to, (if I am sitting on the tractor)???

There is a plug on each side. I guess one is for a drain plug and the one on the other side if for the temp. gauge. Buy I don't know which one is for which. Please help.

Am trying to get a manual but the local places have to order them, but you know how it is, cann't wait to play with our toys.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. David

Not sure on the 35 but on my 65 it is forward of the fuel tank and aft of the radiator about along the line of the bottom of the fuel tank. I'm trying to replace mine on the 65 but it is broken and I can't get a wrench to work on it.

I can't tell you exactly where the temp probe SHOULD go, but, likely in the cylinder head or upper water outlet fitting, NOT down low in the block, at the drain plug level, where it seems you are looking.
