We had the same problem with our 1675, turned out to be the wire that goes from the coil unde the cap. It rubbed through the insulation and was grounded out, so it wouldn't spark.

At the same time, my brother used it and left the key on, burning the points. We went through the whole distributer replacing the points, condenser, cap and rotor. Still didn't fix it, so we called in the dealer who ran a few tests, replaced the wire and gave us the bill. Total cost was about $300 after our own work and the dealer.

i just went trew the same thing , in my case my points were stuck , remove the distrubter cap , and rotor button , then remove the plastic disk , under that you will find your points spread them apart using a peice of sand paper and clean them up a bit , a lill bit of wD40 wont hurt either , good luck

Tim just for your info, sand paper isn't good to use to clean points because it can and will leave sand in and on parts. Emery cloth is far better. Also WD-40 and catch fire if your point spark much and believe me its not fun to have an distubutor cap blow up, guess how I learned that one, yep had it happen once and I will never spray the stuff in that area again. By the way when it did that it cost me a new cap, rotor, points and condenser and I think a few plug wires also

First thing to check is if your getting spark at each of the plugs, needs to be a nice blue spark. Also are the plugs really getting gas, if its not fireing the plugs should be a little wet from gas if its getting to them. My guess would be your not getting spark at the plugs
