I am new to tractors and I am having trouble understanding the operation of the controls of my 3 point lift. I just bought a 74 model 135 it has the draft and position control not the optional pressure control. The way I understand the manual it says I should be able to put the draft control (closest to fender of the two levers) to up position (towards back of the tractor) and raise and lower the implements with the position control. I just started brushhogging and I can raise and lower the hog with the draft control but the position control seems to have very little effect no matter what range it is in or where the draft control is set. Is there something wrong with my hydraulics or just me not knowing how to use the controls yet?

thank you,
roger

When your on Dean's site he has a CD of information (I call it Dean's "Vault of knowledge") that you can get. Well worth the few $$ he charges. I bought one and highly recommend it.

There is a piece of linkage that will get out of place causing the position control lever not to work the lift I suspect that is your problem I have a picture I can email you showing this if you want to send me an email address
