I am just about to pull the trigger and buy a used 1986 MF 1035 4x4 with 1200 hrs, 1016 loader and a 5' woods mower. Is $7500 a fair price for this machine? Any known problems? I plan to change the oil and filters as soon as I get it home, does anyone know what weight engine oil and hydraulic oil to run in it? I will buy an operation manual soon but I just wanted to get a heads start.... Thanks!

Toyosha Hinomoto built that tractor approx. '86-91. MF and Deutz-Allis (AGCO) dropped T-H in the early to mid '90s and went to all Iseki tractors for their compacts. You might want to spend a little time on the net looking at the problems people are having getting parts and service. Dealers, as well as individuals, don't want to risk tying up their floor space by tearing into a tractor they might not be able to get parts for once they find out what is needed. Just a little heads-up.
