Hi, was wondering if anyone had any ideas...my clutch won't disengage (esp in low range). I've tried adjusting it at the pedal, and inside for what looks like the 2nd clutch. Is there a special adjustment procedure??? Thanks.
Jim

Hello Jim -

Sounds like internal problems. The only external adjustment on the main clutch is free play - 1/2 to 3/4" of pedal travel.

After that, could be any of a dozen things go wrong to cause the problem. Could be as simple as loose finger bolts or a missing pin, a flaked lining on the plate...

You just might be able to see something in the hole under the bell housing, but likely you're faced with a split.

Not difficult, but tricky. I put some notes together to supplement the manuals for reassembly. Kim (YT webmaster) has a copy but don't know where it is on the site! If you need them and can't find them, let me know e-mail and I'll forward them.

Jack
