We have a 1956 MH 333 with power steering and a tricycle front end. When you drive down the road it shimmys. Is there any adjusting to tighten it up? Has anyone had one apart that could give me some pointers? If someone has what do you think is worn out?

If you have factory power steering, get a 333 owner's manual and it will show you where to adjust the play out of the steering. There's one listed on e bay now.

I found that section in the manual. I will try and adjust it some. I am afraid that there is to much shimmy to correct.

If it is factory PS,I can't help much because mine are PS Wide fronts which are different. If it is a after market PS than it is in your worm secter under the rad.,it could be loose or a bad tooth or worm, take the 6 or 8 bolts and lift the top off the steering box. After market PS,s are hard on the steering box.I have one loose now on a triple that had PS.on it.(After market)There is a adj.screw to tighten the lash up or loosen on the box.
