I just dropped the trans oil on my MF 1135 and found pieces of a brass bushing in the intake screen. Wondering what its from, the bushing appears to have been dimpled, if that helps. Everything works except the pto can only be turned on and off at the back of the tractor. Any ideas? Your help is appreciated

If it is alot of brass really fine fine pieces it is ussually your brakes. Is this the first time you have checked this screen in awhile? The brake material will accumulate there over time but if they are going bad you ussually have to keep cleaning your screen more than a person can stand. I'm not saying your differential might not be going bad but they are ussually very dependable in all the 1100 series. The one good thing is if you decide to check your brakes your differential is only about another 2 hrs to remove check and assemble.

There are brass bushings in the differential. They wear. We replace some in an 1155 last year. You need to pull the diff out and disassemble it. Hopefully there is not too much wear in the diff housing. The brass bushings parts have changed up to steel ones now, as it seems to be a known weak spot.
