My older brother replaced the generator years ago with a delco alternator, 3 wire. i just finished converting my farmall h to 12 v and thought I would tackle the ferguson now. Seems he didnt get the wiring right, and the battery would drain overnight. So dad unhooked the sensor wire and this eliminated the problem. The main power lug is wired to the remote starter solenoid, and it appears the #1 is wired to the switch. I hooked the sensor wire to the main power lug, and could not shut of the engine. I know a diode would solve that, but it appears there is power draining somewhere, which is draining the battery overnight. Any suggestions or diagrams would be great.

On my tractor, I have to keep the positive wire disconnected from the battery. As far as I can tell, there are no wires going from the alternator that ever return to the battery. I could use some help in a total re-
