I need to add a remote hydraulic on an MF 35 in order to run the lift on a mower conditioner. I believe what I need is a 'diverter valve'. Is this correct? Is it a big job?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kari

Sorry-I have been too pushed. The oil will flow in
and out of the same outlet since it is a one way
valve. The divertor will have knob or lever that
will cut the flow from the 3 pt hitch and trans.
flow to the remote cyl. When done with the remote
cyl. switch the other way and use the three point.

Kari,This is not a big job but you need a couple
tips. The divertor valve bolts on just ahead of
the seat on top of the main housing. There is a
small slightly rectangular plate with two cap
screws which needs to come off(save for another
time)Be sure three point is down. Carefully remove
plate(a tiny bit of oil to wipe up)Now,a hollow
standpipe may follow along or may stay behind.OK
either way but to put pipe back in you need caution-use fingertips to put back, lower straight
down til you find the hole it came out of,then push down with thumb or wood block til seated in
the hole then put divertor on with same cap screws
If the pipe slips you will need to remove a side
cover to retrieve. First choice would be to put
new backup rings 2-195874m1 and 3 O rings 195561m1
2 on pipe and 1 under the cover but?? There are
many places that sell divertors-poss this site??

Sounds fairly straightforward.

A couple questions though.
Does the diverter valve have both an oil inlet and outlet? The haybine I need it for is a one way line - Does this matter?

I assume I will still need a control valve - Any idea where these are typically mounted?

Thanks again for any help,

Kari
