MF 35 in WV

Recently bought a 35 diesel deluxe with multi-power that needs attention. After running for awhile and the fluid gets warmed up good the multi-power seems to want to shift on its own. Have changed fluid(GL-1)and this didn't seem to help. Great tractor but am beginning to wish it didn't have the multi-power option.

Try this adjustment. On top of the trans case is a
rod with a bracket as part of the shifting linkage Slightly loosen the one small bolt that secures
the bracket to the rod. Lightly tap the rod down-
ward as you lift the dash lever to the top. Then
retighten. This has worked many times for us and
hope it works for you. Chuck

There's a friction washer on the multipower shifter knob like on the throttle and it needs to be tightened. Had that same thing happen to my MF-135 a few years ago. Tightening the screw on the multipower shifter cured it.
