I lifted the lift cover to replace orings. And the arm that has the roller on it broke off of the pump. Can this be reatached and if so, how. It looks like there was a pin that held the lower piece on and the pivot was maybe riveted. Please don't tell me I need a new pump.

Hello,
Sorry, yes it is a new pump...no only joking!!!
There is a press button which holds the lever pivot bracket to the back plate of the pump. This normally comes undone when the plate attached to the lift cover goes down between the roller fork. If the button is still in the back plate you should be able to refit the fork pivot bracket. If not remove the cover, you will probably have already drained the oil. You may see the button or if not try fishing around under the pump with a piece of wire.
If you are unable to find the button you will require a new one.
Later tractors has a pin and clip arrangement.
The pin is 1861 510M1
The clip is 1861 511M1. As you lower the cover make sure that both arms of the pump fork are visable.
Good luck
Regards
David P
