Hello all, I have an old Massey harris tractor. Now, the hood says 102GS senior twin power, but I believe its not the original hood as its a totally different color than the rest of the tractor. Here's some specs I can gather from the machine.

It has a 4 cyl gas Continental engine with the distributor on the top of the engine.

The serial numbers on the case are JSE 382042

It does have the twin power throttle sector
It also has a PTO and a belt drive

The frame is solid cast, with solid cast rear wheels

It has a wide front end, although it seems to be narrower than most, about 4 ft between the tires.

The thing runs like a top, even after sitting in an old barn for about 30 years. I cleaned the plugs, points, carb, & gas tank, then changed the oil, and added fresh gas, and it fired right up.

From the serial number it is a 1944 Junior model. The junior models had the 4-cylinder engine the seniors had a six cylinder engine. Both engines are continental engines. On the underside of the u-fame the month, day and year are casted into the u-frame.There is a raised flat surface on the side of the engine and it will have the size of the engine stamped into it.The engine should be a 162 model. If there is any other info you need that I can help you with drop me a e-mail.

Thank you very much for that info! When you say "U-frame" do you mean the frame section that the engine rests in? I'm going to degrease it this weekend , and start the stripping process. Also, I need to find an air breather and the tube that runs to the carb for this machine. Someone removed it while it was sitting, an I was unable to locate it in the old barn it was in. Any ideas where I might find one?

Thanks again for the help. :)
