Does anybody know where I can find the air intake hose that goes between the oil bath air filter and the intake? For the Perkins diesel model.

Mark, Check with Stevens Ag Parts. The 2003 catalog show that they have it. While I was waiting on mine, a local hose company cut a piece of hose for me that was a great substitute. It was a wholesale company, and he wouldn't even take any money for it. C. T.

Hi Mark -

We cobbled one up for ours out of 2 1/4" rad hose and 2 1/4 o.d. exhaust pipe.

Rad hose : a tight 90 degree bend plus 2 straight pieces 2 1/2" and 4" - probably came in one chunk, but no idea what it fits!

20" of 2 1/4 od exh pipe, bent at a muffler shop with a 45 deg bend at one end, 20 deg at the other. The 45 is cut 10" long, and the 20 cut to 5". The 45 is flattened to 1 1/2" as needed to clear the rad and hood.

Starting at the air cleaner, the 90 rad hose goes on, then the 45 deg pipe over the rad and down, the 2 1/2" rad hose, then the 5" of 20 deg pipe, then the 5" rad hose to the intake manifold.

That was put on in the mid 80's and is still intact.

I can send photos if needed - let me know.

Jack Wetmore.

Hey Mark
I sure wish you luck. I was looking for exact same thing for MF65 - these are entirely unobtainable in Australia, even from wreckers, since they are a rubber moulding and usually perished now after 40-odd years of life. Eventually I made a screen out of flywire that fits over the inlet to the oil bath unit. The screen is secured by a hose clamp so it can be removed for cleaning.

Bill
