Getting ready to put another temp gauge on the tractor. This is the third one in three years. Am I missing something here? It is the mechanical type gauge. Could it be vibration that is getting these? I've been using SW gauges and they are supposed to be better ones I understand. One day it just moved up to temp and stayed there.

Also got to replace the tach cable again. That will be number two in 3 years. It's a MF part and they aren't the cheapest people. Are these cables problematic like this?

Jerry, I forget, do you have the 203 or 236? Our 1975? 255 with the 203D still has the original gauges but it had the vibration kit put on by dealer. MAy want to ask dealer if it"s still available.

I am not sure about the temp gauge, but the there is a section on lubing the tach cable on my 65. There is also a note that the tach should be oiled, though I know of no one that has done this. Cables can be bought off of eBay. Just make sure you know what length you are getting. I have seen them go for as low as $10. Good luck Aaron
