If my neighbor"s MF 1155 sits outside water will get in the crankcase. Not antifreze but clear water. Anybody have an idea where the water is getting in? We have not been able to find the source. If its parked in the barn its fine.

Check the valve cover gaskets. One might be cracked on the top side letting water in.

Ours has a hole in the muffler right next to the pipe that goes up and water gets down in there when it rains and get the tractor all full of black soot when ya start it. No water gets in the crank case though, we start it up right after it rains if it gets caught in the rain. Mufflers are $360 for that thing so thats why we dont have a new one yet.

if you have the same type of kind of dipstick i have on mine, they will let water leak down through. dipstick must be set secure, was a bad setup
