I have a 1957 Ferguson F-40 LP gas tractor. I have been able to purchase reproductions of operators and parts manuals for a gasoline 1956 Ferguson F-40, which have been most helpful.

I have not, however, been able to find information specifically for the LP gas system. Any suggestions about where I might look?

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I bought a shop manual that covers several models including the F40 and the MF50. There is a section in it on LP gas that is pretty accurate. The engine on the F40 is a Continental, but I don't know which one.

I also rediscovered a text book on my bookshelf at work that I had used in an Ag Engineering course at Tarleton State College in Stephenville, TX in about 1965. While not specific to the models in question, it has a nice section with general discussions of how LPG systems work on tractors. The book is FARM GAS ENGINES AND TRACTORS by Fred R. Jones 4th edition, 1962, McGraw-Hill. It was like a kid finding a toy from last Christmas that he had forgotten.
