By wide front, you mean adjustable tubular axle, this is a tractor with 14.9-38 rears, on spin-out
(power-adjust)rims. The torque of a 277 diesel was
a termendous stress on the unproven hi/lo range,
and input shaft design. These ten speed diesels were worked to death pulling oversized implements.
Finding even one, without a howling grind in the
input shaft housing is a challenge after 50 years.
With numerous options, component condition, the price runs from 800 to 5K. The engine could have
been swapped out to a 260, twenty years ago. Good
Hitch-All(3 point) is worth a grand. You can get
burned or blessed on this legendary "correct red".
A close inspection by a genuine Triples/Special
era MH tractor restorer is what is needed. Not a
model to buy in the dark. Still, a genuine MH.
Good luck.
