They are saying I have a 24" rim 6 loop and the loops at sixoclock and at 9oclock are about 19-1/4" apart that these rims are not available. The tires say 14.9 x 24 on 13" rims. Someone here said that all 6 loops are the same but Miller Tire said NO WAY ! He said try a slavage yard but I dont know of any. He said someone must have changed the cast iron centers and rims and tires on this tractor, great for me huh ! He said he could sell me a rim and loops and a weld shop could weld them on but that seems a little extreme. Any ideas ???Thank you

More info on the rim saga in reply to cvcman, 04-09-2006 08:34:26
ok,now I find that there is yet another rim that would have the bolt pattern I seem to have24" rims with a 19-1/4" center to center bolts. They are " clip style" rims. I need to wait till I return home to check mine but it seems as though this may be what I have as Massey used these alot I hear. After spending 2400.00 on this tractor I am wondering if now I would have been further ahead passing on it and getting the 8N I looked at...I guess I could buy centers at 100.00 ea then new regular 6 loop rims at 110.00 ea then new tubes and tires too. Total price at about $1000.00 or just try keep running the rim I have which is rusted bad around the valve stem but not showiThanks everyone for your insight !ng the tube or leaking...

hummm well all i know is that Miller Tire and others have told me I need to change the cast iron centers and all or try and find a used rim or try and have someone repair these. The bolt pattern where the rims attach to the centers is where mine are like 19-1/4" 6 to 12 oclock and other 6 loopers are not the same . If anyone knows for sure where there is a used or new one I welcome that info. Thanks

Sounds like you are making a mountain out of a molehill.IF they are that differnt,do as Miller said and buy a rim and as many loops needed and weld them in the correct places.Done everyday on older equip..Cheaper than running all over.DO YOU HAVE A 13in RIM OR JUST GOING ON WHAT THE TIRE SAYS. MEASURE them and be sure.

You have 2 ways to fix this you can either can buy two rims with the centers and go to a 28" rim which was more common than the 24" rim set up or you can go to any wrecking yard and get 13X24 rim for 6 bolt mounting. Ford, JD, MF, and many other Co still use them with 14.9X24 tires. Unless you have some weird after market rims or spin out rims would be harder to find, but normal cast center rims should be readily available .Allan

I think you and the preacher are talking about 2 different things. You are measuring where the rim attaches to the center disc. He is talking about the center disc mounting to the hub. I agree with him that wheels from several other tractors will interchange.

The lug pattern, where the center bolts to the hub, is the same as any other similarly-designed tractor, such as a MF 135, 35, any work bull series, any old Ford 8N, 600, 200, just about any old wheels should work. Post your location, and most likely someone here could help you. Or, try ebay, or go to your local tractor dealership, or look at the site links, or google it, or post a wanted ad on the classifieds, or just go ask around at your local co-op. Later

not so: the regular 8n or others have a 20 something inch bolt pattern between centers mine are like 19-1/4", Miller told me I have 24" rims and they do NOT sell them. I live in Syracuse NY
Again these say 13" rims so I guess they are 13 x 24 or 13 x 28 " but the bolt patterns seem off so I guess im out of luck ??
