I found a loader for a TO20/TO30
Will it fit the MF35 without modifications?

It will take quite a few modifications, but can be installed. For one thing the 35 is a bit longer than the Fergie. The biggest problem we had was creating enough room in front of the back wheel on the 35 to get on and off.

It seemed as though there wouldn't be enough room for tire chains with the frame, but the chains do work, albeit with the odd rattle against the steel.

The Freeman tube loader we took off a TEA20 has a left side and a right side, connected by various pipes and plates. Most of the cross members were welded up on the spot, and my friend decided to put an 8" wide piece of channel steel across under the engine/tranny line to strengthen the frame because I put three new, dual-acting cylinders on the loader, increasing its capacity.

The finished product works well for what I want, a very controllable lifting device for odd jobs around the property. The two chain hooks we welded to the top of the bucket do most of the work on my spread.

It will probably fit without major modifications. Most of the loaders had a frame that attaches in the back to the fender bolts at the rear axle. This should be about the same from a TO-30 to a MF 35. There was some variation in how the front of the subframe attaches. But the differences usually are not great. Can you place the tractor side by side with the loader and make some measured comparisons?

Does the loader have an identifiable manufacturer like Davis? If so, call them and ask about differences.

We had three TO-20s or -30s and always had a loader on one. Had three loaders over the years from a very light weight Ferguson that depended on a pull from the 3-point hitch as well as some tiny hydraulic cylinders to one taken off a Ford to one manufactured for a TO-30 by some firm in Waseca MN in 1973 or so. I cannt remember the name of that company, but the loader ws excellent. We also had an MF 50 and thought about putting the loader on it. We didn;t but I know we thought it easily doable. If it would fit a MF-50 it would fit an MF 35.
