We are trying to install a Delco 10Si internally regulated alternator on a MF 35 Perkins diesel. I can find help wiring this up if the tractor was a gas burner. This is a 3 wire alternator and I know how to connect the "BATT" and #2 connection. What I don"t know is where do I connect the #1 connection on the modular plug? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help, I have always wondered what value the Oil Pressure switch provided, now I know. Connecting the #1 modular blade connection on the alternator to the Oil Pressure switch was the perfect answer. I have a working alternator now. Thanks for making this a great forum for people like me that need tech tips and advice.

There is an oil pressure switch on the back of the oil pressure gauge the wire from the number 1 terminal of the alternator goes to one of the terminal on the oil pressure the other wire on that switch goes to the ammeter. Hope this helps.

If you go to a good parts store like NAPA they might have a plug available. Then all that you need to do is hook up the Batt. wire, the other end to a switch lead, the end with a crimp on wire end goes with the Batt. wire, plug it in and problem solved. Good Luck p.s. if your not sure the people at the parts store should have the answers.
