I am in the final stages of completing the restoration of a 101 JR standard MH. One thing puzzles me though, this tractor has 14 X 28 rear tires with the proper rims. I also have a MH #30 that has 11 X 28 rears. My dad purchased new 1949 #30 which also had 11 X 28 tires. Now these tractors all had the same motors [162 continentals] so did someone cobble these wheels on to the 101 or are they correct. Please let me know. -----Harold . P.S. The #30s were also standards. THANK YOU

Thanks Mike, That 101 looks surprisingly good with those tires, it has 670 x 15s on the front. I think it would look weird with 11 x28s under those big fenders. Those fenders are banged up almost beyond repair so I am installing a pair of clamshell fenders from a 44 that I am wreaking, they bolt right up without altering. The velvet ride seat also fits perfectly as well as the steering wheel. It is surprising what a guy learns when you take a tape measure along. I dont know what kind decals to order. any suggestions. Take care. ----- Harold

Well, the 28" part is correct but the 14 X 28's are too big, at least bigger than original. I would say the 11 X 28's are correct. Those big fenders probably take the big tire size OK but the tires must look pretty large for that Junior.
