I have a nice French MF-255 with a great running perkins AD3-152. Can anyone tell me about this tractor or its French design specs? I have a 10' bush hog rated for 50hp and was wondering if it would work? Its a really large tractor (rear end) with a small looking engine.... Thanks for the help.

The 10 foot hog is too much hog.

If you are mostly clipping pastures, an 8 would work. Around 7 max if you want to cut heavy stuff.

I cut pretty heavy stuff ocassionally so I have a small 6 foot. Also wish I had got one just a little wider.

The MF255's that I've seen all had a Perkins 4 cyl Diesel engine(I don't know if they were made in France most likely North America). Early models had AD203 engine later had AD236. There was a MF250 that had the same rear axle as the 255 and the 3cyl AD152 eng. The bush hog would be to much for the 3cyl engine (40hp) the early 4cyl would barely have enough power(50hp)the later (62hp)could handle it but you would want to stay out of the heavy stuff. A 10 foot Bush Hog is a big one!
