I have two MF 65 tractors with power steering but only one is working. One tractor has a different configuration than the other. The one with the fluid resivor works and the one without does not. Both have the same congiguration behind the grill. I will try and post pictures of both. Need to know what I need to get the second one working, thanks. Jerry

Have you tried making adjustments to the linkage behind the grill to compensate for wear?

Have you tried taking one of your lines to a specialty hydraulic place like Pirtek? I'm not sure where you live. There is one of these near where I live it St. Paul MN. If you bring them an existing line they can make up something nearly identical and they have all sorts of ends - metric, SAE, etc. I don't know if they are nation-wide.

yes it does have a resevoir it's the tin can attached to the pump housing where your hydraulic lines are. it appears you have a brass valve there. mine has a plug at the 10 o clock position . it only holds about two quarts of oil including the lines and cylinder. I believe there is also a filter in there too. I have the parts book but no servive manual on it.

hope this helps

The picture looks like the bottom line on the pump might be leaking - (badly). Try opening the brass valve and adding some power steering oil.

thanks, I'll try that. The guy I purchased it from told me it did not have power steering so I did not question it at the time but discovered later that it does have the power steering set up.
