I wana get a 2745,or a 2775,to redo, and I run into people that are saying that you dont wannt a V8 in a massey, I dont know why they say that? Is the V8 a maintenence problem down the road? Or are they just used to the inline six turbo,s, that are all around? I dont get it? I love the Perkin,s V8,s, and have nothing but praise for them,as an engine and the design, Is there gonna be little thing,s down the road that are gonna crop up that will be a little pricey to fix on the V8,s,rather than the six,s? I dont think so,so much as they say, The Injection pump is the inline kind, and not the rotary type that Ive heard you cant, or is hard to get part,s for, I dont think there,s a problem as far as reliability go,s? I know that these Perkin,s are one stud of an engine, and Ive only heard of one such thing on thenm where a guy was killed around one because of a bolt in the sump that held a pump on I think, and the bolt flew through the outside of the sump and killed the guy when it was running, sound,s awful fishy to me So I think it,s just a matter of finding the right one,for the right price, and then go from there! I would sure appreciate some help from some Massey People that like them as much as i do, and not just doubter,s that like to talk you out of thing,s,that you are Intersted in! Three Cheer,s for the V8,s of the Red&White Triple Triangle!
