What do you think of this? On the bottom of the
belhousing is a 1/8" steel plate held on with 4
5/8" bolts. Suppose I replace that with a 1/2"
Plate with a trailer hitch ball pointing down, and
use that as a push point for a snowplow?? I intend to use a truck plow mounted on the front. Is that
point on the bell housing going to be strong enough.

Hi,
Probably OK as a secondary mounting but try and use the 4 tapped holes under the front axle casting as well. One day you might want to push something more than snow!!!!

Do you know where a snowplow/front blade is normally mounted? I had thought of mounting to the front end of the underbelly drawbar, but that would make it quite a bit lower than the bellhousing
mount. Are those tap holes under the front axle designed for a snow plow mount??

Hi,
The tapped holes under the axle casting are really for anything that you want to fit. The most common use would be for a front end loader support. The will certainly carry the front end of your linkage. Why not fit a rear support to the bolts under the clutch housing. You have two very strong points there.

When my dad's MF 65 was brand new he used it for plowing, and the snowplow had a long 4"x4" steel tube going all the way to the automatic hitch in the rear end of the tractor, and then the loader was used to keep it sideways and to lift and lower it.
