I would like to change the transmission oil in my Massey Harris 30. I usually have bought SAE 140 oil from Canadian Tire but they no longer stock it. There is a multigrade available, 85-140. I have also seen the same type of multigrade at some tractor dealers. Is it safe to use this kind of oil in my tractor? Does anyone know of any companies that still make 140?

Obviously you're up in Canada or some place cold. Use the 80W90, it'll be fine and a lot better in cold weather.

United Coperatives (Co Op) here in the states still carry it.If you can't find it, I can hook you up with my local dealer.Personally, I would not be afraid of using the multigrade.Its not like you are dealing with a new tractor.lol,bob
