I have a 44 special, diesel parts tractor with lights(12v system). Also have a 444 diesel for parts. 1-204-826-2145

I don't think any of the 44 gas or 44 Special gas tractors were 12 volt originally, I usually change mine over to twelve volt but leave it postive ground. I think the 44 diesel and the 44 Special diesel were 12 volts and the 444 both gas and diesel were 12 volts. If you watch on "e bay" you will find lights offered. The bulbs or sealed beams can be replaced with either 6 or twelve volt bulbs.

Three different front lamps on the MH 47-57 model
'44' versions. Really no OEM parts, some rusty pieces surface on e Bay, pricey busywork. The
rear, two color lamp, '52-57, not anything. There
are some 5" original style, similar to early
50's "Guide" front lamps, around fifty each. A few vendors, offer them, in green or red, such as
Restoration Supply 800-809-9156, Stiener did/does.
Also there were 3 MH bracket styles on row crop
models. All gas models were 6 volt, until the 444, all diesels 12 volt. The'original style' ones
can be purchased in 6 or 12 volt. Good luck.
