I just got a 1960 MF 65 Diesel and have been looking at parts suppliers and I've noticed that there seem to be many more parts for 35's & 50's than the 65's and then there are a lot of aftermarket parts for 135's and 165's. Does anyone know the reason there is so much less out there for the 65's. K

Hi.

It was made a lot less 65 than 35's. So, I guess there is less demand too and therefor no one is making so much MF 65 parts anymore.

In the transmission and centerhousing a lot of the parts are the same for MF 35 and 65.

For the engine it is also still a lot of parts.

You don't say if you have the UK or US built MF 65, I have a UK built one, and I feel it is still a lot of parts to find for it.

Is it any particular parts you are looking for ?

I think it is because it is slightly large for the basic homeowner/brushhogger and too old for the people who are depending on their tractor for a living. Be happy you have the diesel, many of the G176 Continental parts are unavailable. On a brighter note, many of the bearings, bushings, and subassemblies from a 35/50/135 fit the 65.
