My right side lights are not working. I have the square fender and the lights are mounted underneath in a housing. Just 1 wire running out of the lights. I believe that they are bad. Took them out and it appears that you have to buy a whole new light. I couldn"t determine if the light comes apart to replace only the bulb. Questions are:

1) Anyone got a MF part# for replacement light/bulb?

2) Anyone know where I can buy replacement lights?

3) I noticed that on the right side lights only, there is a wire connecting the 2 lights. It runs from the mounting bolt to mounting bolt. What is this for? Is it actually needed.

4) Since only one wire runs from the lights, how are they grounded?

Thanks!

The light is held in by the rubber ring, it just pops out. A new bulb is a standard 4"? automotive type bulb, 2 screw terminals on the back. On ours the inside is dim, outside is bright and I think that's the way it's supposed to be. The ground wire is inside the light fixture, rivited right inside the housing. I had problems with the ground on one fender after remounting it, I ran a ground cable all the way to the battery. After a while the wire came loose and the lights are still working, so I have a good ground somewhere on the fender now....
If you have any questions, I will try to answer them.

100 to 1 it's a ground issue. Try the fender-to-axle connection first. A quick way to fix it is loosen the bolts holding the fender brackets to the axle. Stick a #4 or #6 finish nail in there. Tighten back with impact wrench. The nail digs in to both surfaces, creating a quick GOOD ground.
