I'm searching for a rear mount snowblower for my '48 Ferguson TE20 What are my options? (1) can a belt-driven snowblower, e.g. a 4-6 ft FM or JD unit be modified to fit? (2) Is there a light duty 3-pt, 540 PTO unit that will bolt on?
Thanks very much, Tony

they don't work very well because your reverse is to fast and you don't have live power and tjhe live power is a must if your reverse is to fast as your te20 is

As Marlowe said too fast reverse and no live PTO

The only way (I know) to use a snow blower with
this type of tractor is a reversed blower that pickup snow in tractor forward direction. In first gear ground speed will be mutch lower than reverse.

You will have to wait that the blower has throwed
all the snow inside it before depressing the clutch otherwise the snow will be stuck in the blower and you will have to remove the snow by hand in it. So you will have to figure enough space to stop at the front of the tractor to permit all snow evacuation before stopping.

If you are experienced tractor operator you will soon develop operating skills to operate your tractor with the blower..if not forget it.

We are using farm tractors for 50 years now and experienced mutiple sorts of snow removal setups and the cheapest usable tractor is a MF-35 with live PTO and slow reverse gear. However the TE-20 will do good job with a back blade with filled tires and chains.

In all cases safety first !

Just my 2 cents

Thanks very much for the advice. I just purchased my TE20 a couple of weeks ago and have a steep learning curve ahead of me but am having a great time getting to understand the world of antique tractors. Tony
