I just purchased a TO-35, and the position selector lever is not working. I can lift implements all the way up or down with the draft lever. I'm a novice at working on tractors, any suggestions?

One thing on the TO35 the draft lever has to be in the lowering position before the position lever will raise and lower the lift. If that is not your problem then you have some broke, bent or out of adjustment liftcover control linkage. If I can be of further help email me

Thanks Dean,
The position lever still doesn't work, so looks like I'll be pulling my cover off. Have you ever seen a similar problem in your years working on TO-35's? I've checked out your web site before; Lots of good information and tips.

Thanks for replying.

Dan that is not a comon thing but I have seen quite a few that had the linkage damage in one way or the other. you will need to remove the access plate with the dipstick in it to see if the linkage moves when you work the position control lever. and then remove the liftcover to repair it.
