I have a gas MF35. I would like to add a few hydraulic accessorices (e.g., top link and a lift system for a front blade). It appears from reading the archives that there are several means of adding aux hydraulics such as diverter valve, pto, engine driven pump(s), and power steering pump.

If I want to be able to use the hydraulic accessory without locking out the lift arms, what would be recommended route of doing so.

The diverter valve will not let you use both the remote hydraulics and the three point at the same time you would have to select between one or the other and the remotes are slow when using a diverter valve. You can add the auxiliary hydraulic system from a MF100 series tractor. New they would be very expensive but if you can fine one in good condition from a salvage tractor it would not be much more expensive than a front mounted pump. The front mount pump has to have a mounting bracket an adapter plate for the crankshaft pulley a shaft and pump. It will either have to have a reservoir or you will have to tap into the tractor hydraulic reservoir. If I can answer more question on this Email me.

I have not looked at a 100 series or a manual on one, what components (e.g., is the pump gear or pulley driven) would be required to retrofit to a MF35?

Bill is very close the MF100 series had auxiliary hydraulic pump that mounted like the Mulpower pump but was design for auxiliary hydraulics and in some cases it was for both. It is a complete different system from the three system though. The tractor has to be split between the transmission and rear housing to install the auxiliary system. I have some pictures of it if you want to send me and email address to send them to.

Hi, I guess Dean is talking about the Multi- Power pump that was located on top of the regular hydraulic pump inside the tractor. This can be found in any MF 35 or 65 with Multi-Power, or any 100 series tractor throughout the 100 series, but, you would rather go for the older ones, at least stick to the ones used on Mark 1 and Mark 2 hydraulic pumps.

There is one minus with the Multi Power pump, and that is if you need very high pressure, it will not give that. But, if you can live with around 2000 psi I think it is or so you will be fine.
Be aware, there are several types of Multi Power pumps, single pumps and twin pumps. The single pump will be the easiest for you to use. On the twin pump you need to connect both pumps via a T so you can use both pumps for one outlet.

But write to Dean about it, he knows more about what is available in your country.

The Multi Power pump is a neat setup, should have been used a lot more on those old tractors.
