I have a massey ferguson 2200 treever log skidder/forwarder with a ad3152 motor that just aint enough horsepower. will a ad4203 bolt up to the transmission on the ad3 152. the transmission is out of a massey ferguson 165 i believe. i wear the the ad3 152 out in six to eight months of working it in the woods everyday. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i looked in the book and it looks like you should have all kinds of room out front for a longer engine [lots of grill space] i don't think david p knows what a TREEVER is. we had a 203 for years but we got it used and it had a little cummens in it but that was 20 years ago some one changed it before we got it. i think treefarmer made them for massey and they used a differnt engine

Jason, the 203 will bolt to the transmission, but be aware that it will be pretty much 1/3 longer compared to the 152.

thanks for replys. will the same clutch and pressure plate work? as far as fittings? are you talking about the piece that is between the the radiator and motor will be different? if so would have to convert radiator and front piece over to something that would bolt to larger engine?

Hello again,
My books show that the flywheels are different (may be change of number). The clutch components for the 11" clutch however will be the same other than the coil springs and belleville spring. Assuming that you are able to fit the engine with a '203' axle casting you may well run into all sorts of problems with the steering linkage, the fitting of the axle and the length of the front wheel spindles..... .why not buy a bigger tractor????? ????? ???
Would a '203' MF165 fit your logger chassis? A long shot but you never know.

as long as i got the complete flywheel/clutchdisc and pressure plate assembly the input shaft and transmission should work right? The steering is articulated in middle so that wont be a problem. In your books does it show the axle holder for the front end (which mine doesn't use for axle but does hold hyd pump and radiator on the end of it) be the same bolt patterns as as the the 3 cylinder front of motor?

Hi,
In addition to 'Parts Man's' comments don't forget that the fittings at the front will be different where it bolts to the axle casting.
