I have a MH 33 with a 3pt. When I hook up the hydraulic hose and use then the 3pt does up and down. Is this normal? Also i would like to use this on my jd 1219 haybine, the draw bar and pto shaft are farther apart then any other tractor that we use, will this cause a problem with
the haybine pto shaft.
And does the draw bar come off of tractor, if so how do i get it off. Thanks

First, being '52 or newer vintage, the Dept-o-Matic hydraulics may well have a diverter(about
4" square) plumbed into the hyd lines forward of the mounted cylinder. Even without it, through
change in ports, you should be able to configure
the lines to run separate functions. The diverter,
on many RC 44 & 33 models, simply bypassed oil to both, as needed. Second, the PTO height depends on two items. If your JD haybine has generous PTO
tubing length, covering the shaft, and your MH 33
has'Hitch-All' 3 point(Lift shaft above the PTO).
Hitch-All has a Quadrant lock on the lever, so you can use a cross drawbar in the lift arms, at a height two inches higher than the pin drawbar.
You need to lock the right lift arm, to avoid float, which would overextend your PTO, on a decline,or rapid stop. If you have the MH manuals, diagrams are helpful. Good Luck.
