Need help on the way a massey Mutltipower work,s
Is it clutch pack,s as in alot of other,s,
Or some other design,?
Thinking about an 1155, with my 2775,I like em so much,
I have to stop and shift with the 75, but I thought it would be simpler to shift on the go with a multipower,
(heard their simpler than the later one,s,)
thanks alot for help,

Multipower is probably the best 2 speed powershift out there if you can get over the low multipower freewheeling thing. I shift the multipower on my 1130 sometimes 50-100 times a day. It is just one clutch pack, high is direct. multipower dosn't split the gear in half like TA or other high/low shifts it gives you aproxamtly 1/3 of gear. I've had a few Masseys in my shop and have only done 1 multipower super easy to fix. Compared to I think every IH with a TA that's been in my shop has had to have a TA or TA adjustment. I just redid the 3 speed power shift in a 2775 not as easy to fix and from what I hear are more prone to failure as it's a completely different system. Although I love the cab on the 2000 series the best Massey's were the 1000 series.

Hi Barnrat,
I really appreciate it alot you getting back to me so soon,
Ive had my eye on this 2775 at this dealer,
hrs were 4,711,and it is a 79 model,
But it was put back to the 8 spd, from the 24,
I think a blessing in diguise,
Thanks so much for cluing me in on the tranny in the 1000 serie,s,
really appreciate it alot,
Now Ill have a peace about getting an 1155, and not that 2775 that I thought was so keen, and it turned out not to be,
Keep in touch any time you wanna talk Massey,s
ok,.
To Me there,s nothing like them, except maybe my
Case 2670,and other different Case,s,
Also salvating over a 1200 Case that Id like to have If I could find one in decent cond,
I have a W-6 Mc cormick too,51 model,
It,s ok except for the clutch is too far away from me,and I have to stretch my leg out all the way to push it all the way in so it bite,s and dosnt grind,
I guess Ill go for now ok Rat,
thanks again,
Massey V8 Nut,.
Kirk C,
P,S,I did drive an 1155 w/twin pipe,s,& glasspack,s on them,
sound was AWESOME!
Man,O Man,what music!
Only Mozart could do better!

K,C,
