I just purchased a MF255. The first Massey I have ever owned. It has the 4 cylinder perkins gas engine with 1800 hours. Runs and drives well and I like it so far with the exception of the 3 point hydraulics. With the 2 levers it is hard to adjust. It will not stay at one level no matter where I set the levers. Seems to have plenty of lift power but settles quickly without the engine running. When lifting, it seems to be very jerky, to the point it will get the whole trator shaking up and down. I bought a manual and it susggests that it may be sticking valves. Fluid is correct, filter is new.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Two levers use one at a time!

Both levers in the up position. (all the way to the top)
Outside lever, round top is the draft control. Use this for a disk or plow. Unit will float up or down depending on load.

Inside lever, square like top, is the position control. Use this for a bush hog to cut a level pass.

Remember if one is down the other will not lift.
Start will both at the raised, top position and lower one at a time.

The jumping lift maybe problems that others will have to help with!

Good Luck!
