I checked the Continental Repair manual and H260 cyl. head torque is 130 to 140 ft.lbs. My prior follow-up stated the torque for the 33 model tractor engine (E201).

I know the intake valve and seat are 30 degrees and the exh. valve face and seat are 45 degrees. A lot of people will grind the valve faces 1 degree less than seat angle, example Intake valve face 29 deg. and Intake seat 30 deg. It is theorized that the 1 deg. interference will seat faster and cut carbon buildup better. More important is the conentricity of the valve seat to the guide and the valve face to the stem. Both should be concentric to .002" total indicator run-out. I would have to check on the torque specs. cause I cannot remember off-hand, last time I torques a H-260 head was about 3 years ago. 110-120 ft.lbs. rings a bell though. Feel free to E mail me tomorrow and I,ll check. Tom
