I think this has been asked before but when Massey Harris merged with Ferguson (in about 1954 or thereabouts I think) to become Massey Harris Ferguson Company, did the Massey Harris Ferguson name ever really show up on any tractor, like as in the tractor name decal on the tinwork (and not MHF on the serial number or manufacturer's tin plate)? They still made Massey Harris models after the merger, like the triple series I believe. But what about a real Massey Harris Ferguson tractor visible on the tractor itself?

The merger was August12,1953. The tractor
such as the 50 tractor had decals that
were two piece and said Massey Harris on
the first and 50 on a second decal. The
company was called Massey-Harris-Ferguson
until the end of 1958 when all machines
were labeled Massey-Ferguson. Chuck

For agriculture, a production run of Poneys were
sent to the Ferguson dealers, who supposedly pitched a fit. If the decals were MF Poney, many
must have been stripped off. MF kept the combines
labeled MH, through 1962, then actually scraped the MH decals off inventory models, attaching the
longer, but smaller MF decal, for 1963. Had I not
seen this band-aid change on several combines, I
wouldn't believe it. The industrial tractors, work
bull 303,404, had a chrome nose piece similar to the 333/444, which had MHF molded into the circle
instead of the Triple's "Massey-Harris". Don't recall decals with 3 names on anything, Mike. It
might have slipped out on something...
